I’m Olivier Schwarz, the artist behind SchwarzInk.
I’m a German-Canadian illustrator raised in Ecuador and now based in Montreal.

For over 16 years, I’ve been exploring the depth of ink lines and architectural forms
to create intricate visual worlds that invite close observation and a perspective shift.
My drawings combine the mechanical logic of machines, the elegance of architecture, and the organic complexity of biology.
Through layers of detail, I try to capture fictional systems that feel both precise and dreamlike.
Many of my pieces evolve into visual models of imagined spaces,
spaces that ask the viewer to pause, examine, and reflect.
My process begins with fine black ink lines, drawn by hand. I often spend dozens of hours on a single piece, slowly building layers and structure. Recently, I’ve been introducing watercolors, spray paints, and acrylics to add texture and dimensionality.
I work intuitively, but always with a strong geometric foundation.

Whether you’re here to discover or simply pause and reflect,
thanks for exploring these small universes with me.
